Welcome

A Must

Created in 1959, the Tros Marets has become one of the season’s unmissable events.

Over the years, the following greats have shone in the race: Paul Swaelens (Cooper), Jacky Ickx (Ford Cortina Lotus), “Jean Beurlys” (Ferrari 412 P), “Christine” (Alfa Romeo), Pierre Rubens (BMW 2002 Gr 1), Marcel Tarès as well as Marc Duez (March F2).  The course, at which drivers such as Lucien Bianchi (Ferrari GTO), Bernard Darniche (Alpine), Sandro Munari (Lancia Fulvia) tested themselves against Malmedy’s “wall”, was also part of the Tour of Belgium.

A dream setting

Located a stone’s throw from the Spa-Francorchamps track at the foot of the Hautes Fagnes, the Tros Marets climb winds its way up through some remarkable countryside.  With the forest and steep hills as a backdrop, it is an ideal place for photographers to take great pictures.  A small bridge with an old-fashioned charm located between two tight bends guarantees breathtaking pictures.  The selectivity of the course with its varied bends together with its fast sections has made the event an international success.
As for safety, it is the envy of the RACB who consider it to be a model in this regard.  Spectators are well protected thanks to the protective barriers and the impeccable road surface.
Everything is there to make this once again a sporting and spectacular event to live up to its reputation.

Christophe A. Gaascht.

The press is unanimous

Journalists have heaped praise on the events as the following extracts only go to show:

A monument
The Tros Marets Hill Race deserves a new lease of life.
J.M Hardy- Le Jour Le Courrier

Thirty years after its last outing, the organiser spared nothing to ensure a successful comeback for the Tros Marets Hill Race (free shuttles, spectator areas, activities.) The line-up, including many foreign drivers, was worthy of the event.
Th. Bastin-La Dernière Heure Les Sports

The good crowd were delighted and the atmosphere was excellent.
Quotidien (Luxembourg)

Should proof be needed that hill races can offer a great spectacle and delight the crowds, then the organizers of the Tros Marets Hill Race more than managed to provide this.
TH.Bastin-Turbo Magazine

Whether you are an enthusiast or just nostalgic, you simply can’t miss this event which will go down in the history of Belgian and above all regional motor sport.
H. Bertrand-Régiomag

Over to Sport

As in 2009, the Tros Marets Hill Race will be open to the Belgian and Luxembourg championship as well as to historic cars.
With its 35 bends over 3km800m of fantastic tarmac, the Tros Marets Hill Race is without doubt one of Europe’s most beautiful courses!
